Enjoy a late night viewing of Finnish artist Salla Tykkä’s extraordinary film trilogy Cave and the Irish premiere of her work Zoo. Exhibition’s curator Ruth Carroll will give a brief introduction to Tykkä’s work. at 7.30 pm.
New works by acclaimed Irish artist Alice Maher can be seen in Gallery I including large scale drawings, a vast mural which spans the width of the main gallery and smaller, intimate works on paper. Education officer William Gallagher will give an insightful talk on Maher’s practice at 8.00 pm. Painter Cathy Callan,who is currently exhibiting on the ground floor Ashford gallery, will give a talk on her exhibition Auricle at 8.30 pm. Also there will be a sale of prints by RHA Members and a catalogue sale of all past catalogues. Please enquire at the reception desk for details on this.
