Education drawing |
| The education programme at the RHA offers a broad-based range of talks and lectures both complementary to, and independent from, the exhibitions running in the galleries, with presentations given by artists, critics and other guest speakers. In addition to scheduled talks the RHA encourages group visits from schools and colleges, for which tours are arranged on request. To avail of these services please call the Education officer at 6612558 ext. 103 or send an email to william@rhagallery.ie | ![]() Lawrence Campbell RHA, Life Study, Charcoal on Paper. For many artists drawing remains a fundamental way of engaging with the world, for innovative as well as traditional practitioners. The Academy has a strong tradition of drawing that continues to be maintained among its Members, with some deeply attached to the processes and purposes of drawing. As a means of sharing and promoting this expertise the Academy has developed over the last four years a programme of life-drawing sessions, held in the purpose-built studio at the Academy in Ely Place. The sessions are aimed primarily at practising artists and those experienced in life drawing. They are directed by Members of the Academy including Michael O'Dea RHA, James Hanley RHA, Brett McEntagart RHA and John Coyle RHA, and invited artists including Sahoko Blake, Megan Eustace, Conor Walton, Geraldine O'Reilly, Una Sealy and Eamonn Connors, all of whose contribution we very much appreciate. Due to the current redevelopment of the RHA studios there are no classes at present. Please see this web page for further information on any drawing events. Tel: RHA Marketing at 01 6612558 ext 111.
